The accommodation is basic but has everything you need.. A full kitchen in the self-cater units. There's no aircon, just fans sorry The Park Is trying to be Low impact Cell phones may not work well, But Cameras do Hilltop The Pool Can be used when it's blazing hot a lot.

Hilltop camp is fenced, so walking from restaurant to chalets is safe at night. Safer for small children. There is a playground for children and shop and fuel at the camp. Mpila and the other camps are not fenced so be very careful.. Everyone staying at the Hilltop camp can use all the amenities.

Regardless of room type. The views overlooking the valley is magnificent. The units are old, So please, don't compare them to new modern resorts. Hilltop and Mpila are rated more on the 3-star side. It's really All about animal watching and the priceless privilege it is, to witness these magnificent animals, even the mighty Dung Beetle Mpila bit more rustic than Hilltop. It's all self-cater. There is no restaurant. There is a small basic shop if you forget milk bread charcoal etc But please keep in mind the shop is basic and can run out of supplies.

It's really best to shop for food and drink on your way. They do sell wood so that's covered. They are self-catering.. You can take a guided safari walk, and game drives which are booked when you check-in. And you can always do your own game drives as well.

This gives you more time to enjoy and slow down a bit, less distraction by others.. There are quite a few options here, Like Safaris Tents 2,5 bed, and 7-bed chalets. It's a very popular place with the local south Africans. There are no game fences, around the camps so be careful Diff no wandering off night or day..

This park is full of animals , This is one of the main reason, it's so popular out of all the game parks in Africa. There's lots of Big 5 here, All the Camps have fire pits for cooking and sitting back watching the stars and feeling the amazing wilderness.

When The Lion's Roar , you will never forget it, Vibrates right through you, makes you feel really, So insignificant in their world. There is much more to Umfolozi and Hluhluwe than, the Big 5 we all want to see, Like many endangered animals, Honey Badgers, Wild Dogs and so much more to name just Bigger and fast lens is diff better, when it come to wildlife photography LOL.

Restaurant and great full license pub with huge deck overlooking Imfolozi River, Fantastic sundowner game viewing. En-suite bathroom with bath and shower. Fully equipped kitchen with stove and micro-wave. A curio shop is available which sells basic food supplies.

Unleaded petrol, diesel and oil are available at the camp. Game drives and walks are booked on arrival on first come, first served basis. Hluhluwe is a low risk malaria area, however visitors are urged to consult their doctors. A restaurant and bar facility is available at Hilltop. All guests please be advised that if you are going to be late arriving at Hluhluwe iMfolozi Game Reserve, that a Late Entry will be charged to the amount of R per vehicle.

Late entries will only be collected from gate from 19h00 until 22h No persons may dive in the parks Hilltop Mpila without an escort after gate closing times. You will need your booking reservation reference number at the entrance gate to the Hluhluwe iMfolozi Park and an exit permit on departure. Should you arrive after Mpila Camp reception has closed, the unit allocated to you will be written on a board outside reception against your name. Take up occupation of the room and report to reception in the morning. The rooms do not lock. Most Credit cards are accepted. Mpila Camp, is where guests staying at the Nselweni Bush Camp also need to check in.

There is a pic-nic site on the Sontuli loop with toilet. The Centenary Centre has a take-away, the Rhino Capture interpretation, Capture Bomas and toilets, as well as an extensive craft market. Should we be unable to secure accommodation for you at Mpila Camp there is the nearby Nselweni Bush Lodge which has 10 x 2 bed Chalets. These are brick under a tent roof. Each has a private shower and toilet en suite and a kitchenette.

Set on the banks of the Black uMfolozi River. These are booked by one party at a time and sleep a maximum of 8 guests. These are the Gqoyeni and Hlatikhulu Bush Lodges. All cooking needs will be done by visitors. Please note that this bush camp is not fenced other than for an electrified elephant wire and dangerous animals may enter the area, so one should be aware of this, especially during the night. We suggest that you bring torches.

Hyena in the evenings and monkeys and baboon scavenging during the day can be a nuisance. Do not feed any of the animals. Views from River view units are not guaranteed as bush may block the view at certain times of the year. Note that all bush camps should only be accessed by 4 x 4, 4 x 2, SUV with high clearance.
