Nyit bs/do program

Included are discussions of the role of microorganisms in the food industry, in the environment, and in health. Topics covered include: descriptive statistics, probabilities, frequency distributions, hypothesis testing, Fisher and Chi-square tests, Z-score, data normalization and T-test. Additionally, more elaborated strategies including Analysis of Variance, correlation, linear regression and Bayesian statistics will be introduced, as these methods are considered essential tools for biomedical sciences.

An introductory course in the functions and mechanisms of the human body. Laboratory exercises include the detection and measurement of these functions using modern methods.

A practical introduction to the fundamentals of the structure and properties of the biomolecules in close context with their metabolism. Major emphasis is placed on the dynamic nature of biochemistry and the interrelationships of the various metabolic pathways that make up the totality of life. Work in the laboratory illustrates the more common biochemistry techniques and principles encountered in the lecture.

Studies include: types of matter, atomic structure, the periodic table, chemical bonding, states of matter, solutions, chemical reactions, gas laws, and chemical calculations. Laboratory work illustrates common laboratory techniques as well as chemical principles. Topics to be covered include thermochemistry, chemical kinetics, chemical equilibria, acids and bases, ionic equilibria, oxidation-reduction reactions, and electrochemistry.

Laboratory work illustrates the principles discussed in the lecture. Laboratory work consists of the determination of physical constants and the preparation of various organic compounds. Studies include: the advanced theoretical treatment of reaction mechanisms, spectroscopic properties of organic compounds, and configurations of some important biological systems. Laboratory work consists of more advanced organic syntheses and qualitative organic analysis.

The course will include selections from the literature, ethics, values, and philosophy as related to the delivery of health care. Medical-legal issues will be addressed with particular reference to liability and confidentiality.

Issues related to euthanasia, the right to die, abortion, behavior modification, allocation of scarce medical resources, in vitro fertilization, genetic screening and engineering, and human experimentation will also be addressed. Covers vectors, forces and torques, dynamics, energy momentum, fluids, gasses, liquids, solids, heat and thermodynamics.

Includes waves, sound, light, optics, electricity, current, magnetism, instrumentation, atoms and nuclei. If a student does not successfully complete the first year of medical school, but has successfully completed some of the coursework, the student may complete a waiver to apply up to 15 successfully completed credits to the bachelor's degree. I am keen on being actively involved in them to kick-start my freshman year at NYIT.

Hope to hear from you guys soon! For my year the score is while last year was I have heard from upperclassmen that you must study on your own because you take the MCAT second year summer and you take classes like biochemistry and organic chemistry in the same year so you must study as the year goes by to stay on track. Interview is a formality. Theres many STEM and medicine related clubs. Researching freshman year is a bit tough unless you have connections but you can email any professor to get into their research lab.

Keep in mind the coursework is very heavy as you take 18 and then 21 credits first year. GPA is the most important thing in this program. Did you join this program? Can you give some feedback?
